Patience and righteousness

Dhul-Kifl appears in Surah Al-Anbiya alongside Isma‘il and Idris, with praise for patience, righteousness, and admission to Allah’s mercy. Surah Sad names him with Isma‘il and Al-Yasa‘ among the excellent. These are the secure foundations for his entry.
The Qur’an does not provide a narrated mission, a named people, a lifespan, or an exact location. It also does not explicitly call him a prophet in the same wording used for Idris. Many commentators include him among the prophets because of his placement in these lists, while others discuss a righteous man’s status.
The collection includes him within the familiar 25-name presentation while making that discussion visible. It does not equate him automatically with a biblical figure or construct a map around a claimed tomb. Completeness here means covering the relevant verses and their limits, rather than supplying an invented series of events.
