Life on earth and promised guidance

Adam receives words from his Lord, and his repentance is accepted. The account then turns toward the earthly life of Adam and his descendants. Allah promises guidance: those who follow it are given reassurance, while rejection has consequences. Earth is described as a place of dwelling and provision for a time, rather than humanity’s final destination.
This ending prevents the opening story from being read only as a tragedy. The error is followed by a path forward. Responsibility includes learning, remembering the enemy’s deception, seeking forgiveness after wrongdoing, and responding to revelation.
Maps of Adam’s exact place of descent are not supplied by these verses. This collection therefore illustrates earthly landscapes without identifying one as the first human settlement. For memory, keep four movements together: creation and knowledge, the command and refusal, temptation and repentance, and life guided by Allah.
