CHAPTER 06

Tawhid and the future return

Illustrative environment; not a reconstruction of this episode
Conceptual artwork · No prophet is depicted

In Surah Al-Ma’idah, Allah questions ‘Isa concerning worship directed to him and his mother. ‘Isa declares that he would not say what he had no right to say and affirms that he taught worship of Allah, his Lord and their Lord. He distinguishes his witness while among the people from Allah’s continuing knowledge of them.

An authenticated narration in Sahih al-Bukhari speaks of the future descent of the son of Mary as a just ruler. The return belongs to Islamic teaching about the end times and should not be converted into a dated forecast. Its details must be gathered from the relevant reports rather than imagined from a single verse.

The collection closes by connecting ‘Isa’s signs and honor with his servanthood and prophetic mission. Miraculous birth, teaching, signs, protection, and future return are understood within tawhid. This is the organizing principle that keeps the chapters coherent across a rich and sensitive account.
