Khaybar, invitations, and the widening mission

After Hudaybiyah, the conventional Seerah sequence includes Khaybar and invitations sent beyond Arabia’s immediate setting. The Khaybar report concerning ‘Ali includes instruction about calling people and the value of someone being guided. The event cannot be understood solely as territorial acquisition without attention to the message.
The long report involving Heraclius preserves questions put to Abu Sufyan about the Prophet’s lineage, truthfulness, followers, commitments, and teaching. It also includes the written invitation. These are specific transmitted accounts rather than a basis for inventing the wording of every letter attributed to this period.
The chapter places a widening mission within source boundaries. Relations with rulers, the conduct of conflict, and agreements concerning land and communities require their respective evidence. The collection identifies the principal accounts and connects them with the larger Seerah instead of treating every neighboring society as a blank background.
